Visegin
Presentation
Visegin tablet: Grey, diamond shaped, film coated tablet; each tablet contains Tiemonium Methylsulfate INN 50 mg.

Indications
Visegin (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is an antispasmodic. Visegin reduces muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, bladder and uterus. Visegin (Tiemonium Methylsulfate) is indicated for pain in gastrointestinal and biliary diseases, and in urology and gynaecology.

Dosage and administration
In adult, the usual dosage is 100-300 mg (2-6 Visegin tablets) daily in divided dosage by mouth.

Contra-indications, warnings, etc.
Contra-indications: Tiemonium Methylsulfate tablet is contra-indicated in patients with glaucoma, adenoma of the prostate or with hypersensitivity to Tiemonium Methylsulfate.

Warning & Precautions: Patients who are suffering from a renal, coronary insufficiency (angina pectoris) or hepatic disease, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, cardiac arrhythmia, chronic bronchitis, constipation, hypertrophy of the prostate should be treated with caution. Tiemonium Methylsulfate can cause an acute glaucoma. Safety and effectiveness of Tiemonium Methylsulfate tablet in paediatric patients have not been established. Efficacy and safety were maintained with increasing age.

Use in pregnancy & lactation: Tiemonium Methylsulfate tablet may be used in pregnancy only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio. Tiemonium Methylsulfate tablet may be used in lactating mother only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio.

Side effects: The following adverse effects are likely to occur: oral or lacrymal dryness, cardiac acceleration, sight trouble, retention of urine and constipation. It can appear confusion and irritability at the old person.

Drug interactions: Tiemonium Methylsulfate must be carefully used with the other atropinic substances like anticholinergic antidepressants imipraminic, H1 antihistamines, antiparkinson drugs, disopyramide and phenothiazines. Tiemonium methylsulphate can interact with other
drugs.

Overdosage: The overdose can appear by a tachycardia, an agitation, respiratory disorders. In case of doubt, patients are advised to contact with physician immediately.

Pharmaceutical precautions
Store in a cool and dry place, protected from light.
