DESCRIPTION
TIMOFET are quaternary ammonium antimuscarinic agent with peripheral effect similar to those of atropine. TIMOFET strengthens calcium bonding with phospholipids and proteins thus stabilizing the cell membrane of the GI tract.

COMPOSITION
TIMOFET Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Tiemonium methyl sulphate INN 50 mg.

INDICATION
TIMOFET is an antispasmodic drug. It reduces muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, uterus & urinary bladder. It is indicated for the pain in gastrointestinal & biliary disease in the urology & gynecology such as gastroenteritis, diarrhea, dysentery, biliary colic, enterocolitis, cholecystytis, colonopathyes, mild cystitis & spasmodic dysmenorrhoea.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Recommended oral dose of TIMOFET tablet is 2-6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily in divided dosage as required.

CONTRAINDICATION
TIMOFET tablet should not be used in glaucoma or where acute pain of eyeball with vision disturbance was found. Also this drug should not be used in patients with the disorder of prostate or urinary bladder.

SIDE EFFECTS
Side effect with the use of TIMOFET tablet is very rare.

DRUG INTERACTIONS
TIMOFET tablet should not be used with other drugs without prior consult of a registered physician to avoid possible drug interaction.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Pregnancy: TIMOFET tablet may be used in pregnancy only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio.
Lactation: TIMOFET tablet may be used in lacting mother only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio.

STORAGE CONDITION
Store in a cool and dry place below and away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
