Sintel
Description
Sintel®is a preparation of Albendazole which is a broadspectrum anthelmintic. Sintel® exhibits vermicidal, ovacidal and larvacidal activity and exerts its anthelmintic effect by inhibiting tubulin polymerization.

Indications
Sintel® is a broad spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment of:

Dosage and Administration
Usual dose in both adults and children over 2 years of age: In case of A. duodenale, N. americanus, A. Iumbricoides, E. vermicularis and T. trichuria, asingle dose of 400mg (1 Sintel® tablet or 10ml Sintel ̈ suspension) is effective. In case of Strongyloidiasis or Taeniasis Albendazole 400mg (1 Sintel ® tablet or 10ml Sintel® suspension) as a single dose should be given three consecutive days. If the patient is not cured on follow up after three weeks, a second course of treatment is indicated.

Usual dose in children between one and two years of age: Recommended dose is a 200mg (1/2 Sinte® l tablet or 5ml Sintel®suspension).

Use in Pregnancy
Albendazole should not be administered during pregnancy or in women thought to be pregnant.

Side Effects
A few cases of gastro-intestinal discomfort and headache have been reported, but no definite relationship with drug has been shown.ContraindicationsAlbendazole is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation.Pharmaceutical PrecautionsStore in a cool and dry place, protect from light.

Sintel® 400mg Tablets: Each tablet contains Albendazole USP 400mg.
Sintel®Suspension: Each 5 ml suspension contains Albendazole USP 200mg.Package Quantities
