COMPOSITION

PHARMACOLOGY
Nutrivit®B contains the most important members of the vitamin B group inpure form and in therapeutically balanced proportions. The members of thevitamin B group contained in Nutrivit B are components of enzymesystems that regulate various stages of carbohydrate, fat and proteinmetabolism, each of the components playing a specific biological role.Deficiency of B vitamin causes glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, polyneuritis,beriberi, pellagra and vascularisation of cornea.

INDICATION
Nutrivit®B is indicated for prophylactic or therapeutic nutritionalsupplementation in physiologically stressful conditions. These include :Conditions causing depletion, or reduced absorption or bioavailability ofessential B-vitamins manifested by glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, beriberiand polyneuritis, the maintenance of normal growth and health during theearly days of children, apathy and anorexia in elderly patients, prevention ofvitamin deficiencies, particularly when depletion is suspected –pregnancyand lactation, patients on restricted diets.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Nutrivit®B tablet-usual recommended dose is 1-2 tablet3 times daily or as directed by the physician.Nutrivit®B Syrup-2-3 teaspoonful daily or as directed by the physician.

CONTRAINDICATION AND PRECAUTION
Nutrivit®B is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of itscomponents.

SIDE EFFECT: Adverse reactions have been reported with specific vitamins and minerals,but generally at levels substantially higher than those in Nutrivit B.However, allergic and idiosyncratic reactions are possible at lower levels.Iron, even at the usual recommended level has been associated withgastrointestinal intolerance in some patients.

DRUG INTERACTION: As little as 5 mg pyridoxine daily can decrease the efficacy of levodopa inthe treatment of Parkinsonism. Therefore, Nutrivit B is not recommendedfor patients undergoing such therapy.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: It is safe to use Nutrivit®B in pregnancy and lactation.

Nutrivit®B syrup : Bottle containing 200 ml syrup.
