Description:
Moxifloxacin is a member of the fluroquinolones class of antibacterial agents. It has broad spectrum of activity & antibacterial action. It exerts activity against wide range of Gram- positive, Gram-negative, anaerobic & atypical bacteria including Mycoplasma pneumonia. The bactericidal action results from the inhibition of topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) & topoisomerase IV which are required for bacterial DNA replication, transcription & repair.

Indication
Zydus® is indicated for treating the following infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Acute Bacterial Sinusitis
Acute Bacterial Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis
Community Acquired Pneumonia.
Uncomplicated Skin & Skin Structure Infections
Complicated Skin & Skin Structure Infections
Complicated Intra-Abdominal Infections
