Replet® Plus
Description
Clopidogrel is an inhibitor of ADP- induced platelet aggregation acting by direct inhibition of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) binding to its receptor and of the subsequent ADP- mediated activation of the glycoprotein GP IIb / IIIa complex. Aspirin is also an antiplatelet agent, which acts by causing irreversible inhibition of the cyclooxygenase enzyme. This leads to decreased formation of thromboxane A2 and inhibition of platelet aggregation.

Indications
Replet® Plus is indicated for the reduction of atherosclerotic
events (myocardial infarction, stroke and vascular death) in-patients with
atherosclerosis documented by recent stroke, recent myocardial infarction
or established peripheral arterial disease. It is also indicated for patients
with acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina/ non-Q-wave MI).
