Self Introduction
Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam was born in 1977 in a respectable Muslim family in Mangal Para village of Puthia police station in Rajshahi district. He passed his S.S.C. in 1992 from the local high school and his H.S.C. with distinction from Rajshahi College in 1994.
Then he passed MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 2001. He joined the government service in the 24th BCS. Due to his special interest in chiropractic, he worked at Dhaka Medical College, Rajshahi Medical College from 2002 to 2010. And he received surgical training under renowned surgeons of Bangladesh at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and in 2011 he obtained the F.C.P.S. (Surgery) degree from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).
He has participated in various international seminars on Advance Laparoscopic surgery at home and abroad (Thailand, India, Switzerland) and has traveled to various countries including Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Australia, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore. In 2017, he participated in the FMAS examination held in India and was elected as a Fellow of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India.
Till now he has published more than 15 publications in domestic and international journals. He regularly performs successful international standard surgeries for Breast Cancer, Gastric Cancer, Colon Cancer and other cancer diseases in the divisional city of Rajshahi. Currently he is a successful Laparoscopic Surgeon with more than ten thousand years of experience.
