Nomesis
Description
Meclizine Hydrochloride is piperazine dihydrochloride monohydrate. Meclizine is an H1 receptor blocker of the piperazine side chain group. It exhibits its action by an effect on the CNS, possibly by its ability to block muscarinic receptors in the brain. It has a marked effect in blocking the vasodepressor response to histamine, but only a slight blocking action against acetylcholine. Pyridoxine (B6), either alone or combination has been used to prevent nausea and vomiting due to its antiemetic property.

Indications
Nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, vertigo, morning sickness in pregnancy.
