Composition:

Gliclid 80: Each tablet contains Gliclazide BP 80 mg.

Gliclid MR: Each modified release tablet contains Gliclazide BP 30 mg.

Gliclid 60 MR: Each modified release tablet contains Gliclazide BP 60 mg.



Indications

Gliclazide is indicated-

- for the control of blood glucose in people with type 2 diabetes. It is used when diet, exercise, and weight reduction have not been found to control blood glucose well enough without medication.



Dosage and Administration

The total daily dose may vary from 40-320mg. The dose should be adjusted according to the individual's response, commencing with 40-80mg daily and increasing until adequate control is achieved. A single dose should not exceed 160mg. When higher doses are required, Gliclazide should be taken twice daily and according to the main meals of the day.

The daily dose of Gliclazide MR Tablet may vary from 30 to 120 mg once daily. The recommended starting dose of Gliclazide MR is 30 mg daily. Dose adjustment should be carried out in steps of 30 mg, according to the blood glucose response. Each step should last for at least two weeks.
